Namaste, and G'day!
Happy 2025! I'm Manish, a Sydney-based IT professional, outdoor enthusiast, and founder of Breathe Balance. Whether you're a familiar face from my OZ Outdoors Sydney Meetup group or new to my work, welcome!
Besides my work and love for hiking, people often wonder what else I do. I usually say yoga, but the truth is even more elemental: conscious breathing, gentle movement like yoga asanas, and immersion in nature. These are the cornerstones of a balanced life, and they've made a remarkable difference to mine.
My own journey with breathwork began years ago, during a particularly challenging phase when my health was at its lowest. I had been introduced to yoga as a child, but life's demands had led me away from the practice. Struggling with constant stress and low energy, I rediscovered the mat, and more importantly, the power of my breath. Learning techniques like diaphragmatic breathing, rhythmic pranayama, and mindful walking helped me regain my vitality, find clarity, and cultivate a deep sense of inner peace. It was a rediscovery that profoundly shaped my life's path.
This journey inspired me to create Breathe Balance. The name reflects the harmony I found – and that we all seek – not just in our breath, but in our lives. Conscious breathing provides the vitality we need, while balance becomes the path to sustainable well-being. It's about finding that equilibrium between effort and ease, activity and rest, inner and outer worlds.
Unfortunately, so many of us unknowingly develop unhealthy breathing habits—shallow breaths, mouth breathing, or neglecting the rhythm of our breath. These patterns can lead to fatigue, stress, poor sleep, and even long-term health issues. I realised this needed to change, and that’s where Breathe Balance began.
At Breathe Balance, we bring together mindful breathing practices, gentle movement, and the healing touch of nature. Whether it’s a rhythmic breath workshop in a serene park, a nature walk by the Sydney Harbour, or an online community session, our goal is to help you reconnect with your breath and yourself.
Join and build our community as we explore this journey together, one mindful breath at a time. We're offering free classes and workshops until March 2025 to experience the different you. The first workshop will be held at Milsons Point on 25th January 2025, please check out the Workshops Page and feel free to attend any of them.
